20 Weeks, Wrapping Up Christmas and Our Move

A lot has happened since the last time I posted!  We finished up our time in the US, packed all our stuff up and flew to Central Asia!  We got here on Monday and have been working on settling in and getting adjusted to the new time zone.  Right now we're staying in our company guest house until we find a more permanent place to live.  We want to live with a local family for a few months and are working on figuring that out.  The guest house is quite nice though and recently the electricity was fixed so we've been staying warm, which is really all that matters to me.  Another nice thing about this house is that it's empty most of the time, especially in the winter, so if we need a break during our homestay we can come here on the weekend for a couple of nights to relax.  Here are a few pics of the house...

Make sure you check out the picture of our bed.  The comforter is bright but it's warm!

Next, I made it to the halfway point this week in the pregnancy!  Woo-hoo!  It still seems like a long time away until she gets here but it's good to be at this point.  Here's the bump...

Still pretty small and unnoticeable to the outside world but it's growing!  The most exciting part about this week is that I've started to feel her move some.  It's really amazing!  It's certainly sporadic but I've felt her every day for the past three days and that's pretty cool. I still can't believe it's happening!

Finally, I wanted to post a few pictures of our last days in the US.  We had a great time in Hickory with Drew's family and with several of our friends who are now in that area and we managed to successfully pack and not be stressed about it.  We gave away our car and made sure everything was packed away neatly in Drew's grandparent's basement.  It was a bittersweet time but good too.  It's all part of the process!

Our six bags- we also had our carry-ons and our book bags...not too bad

Our last good meal in America...spicy chicken deluxe sandwiches from Chick-fil-A (The pizza we had at the airport in Chicago was not very good!)  We will miss this!

So yeah, that's about it.  We had a wonderful time with our family and friends throughout December and made lots of wonderful memories that will last for a long, long time.  We miss everyone there but are excited about this new phase of our lives and excited to see what God is going to do.  Can't wait to share!
