This afternoon Drew and I had an unexpected field trip with one of our "brothers" and a family friend. First we went and checked out both of their shops and then we went and had a wonderful lunch of shashlik (beef and lamb kabobs). Then they drove us out to an old city that is being rebuilt. It was a beautiful day and a great chance to work on language and relationships. I am exhausted because that kind of interaction wears me out but I'm very thankful for the opportunity and had a really good time. Just another thing we'd have missed out on if we weren't living with a family!
