Drumroll please.....

Okay, so a lot of you know this already but for those of you who don't....we're having a baby!!!!  After almost four years of trying and after three years since the only time I was able to get pregnant, God has blessed us with a child!  My due date is May 26th and I'm a little over eight weeks along.  It really is a miracle and we are sooo amazed!  We found out on my birthday too, which was extra special.

Here's the really, really cool part of the story that you have to read though... a couple of weeks before we left Central Asia this summer one of our teammates asked us if we wanted to have kids.  We told him our story and he proceeded to tell us how God seems to have given him a gift to pray for couples struggling with infertility and told us stories of about seven or eight different couples who he'd prayed for and within a couple of months they were pregnant.  He then asks if we wanted him to pray for us.  Of course we said yes!  He prayed and it was one of the most intense prayer times I've ever experienced.  We left encouraged and wondering if God would use this, after all, so many people have prayed for us over the years.  Well, the first month I could've gotten pregnant I did.  Amazing!  Such a really cool answer to prayer!  And now we have such a cool story to tell the Tajiks we interacted with this summer.

Please be praying for the baby to continue to grow and develop well.  We had an ultrasound on Monday and saw the baby and its heartbeat.  God is so cool!  Pray too for me to have strength and energy for our time here at training.  I've felt pretty good so far so please pray that will continue.

So, that's our big news.  Here's the ultrasound pic...

And here's one that Drew adjusted to make it look better...

It has been so neat to "participate" in your adventure through prayer & watching what God is doing. It will be exciting to watch what He is going to do!
