My New Dress!

Most women here wear a type of dress, called a korta, that is very cultural. They have many different fabrics and wear the outfits for all occasions. Some women don't wear them so it's not necessary, but having a few is a good idea. I bought two types of fabric and took them to my neighbor who is a seamstress and finally got one of them today. I think it looks great and hope to have the other one tomorrow. I will need to get one with nicer fabric if I want to wear one to a nice function, like a wedding, but for now I just wanted light cotton so I'd stay cool. By the way, there are pants that you wear underneath the dress. You can see the bottom of mine right below the dress part. I think I will have to stick to getting mine handmade because I'm much larger than most women here. :-) Here it is...

You look great Leslie!! :) I can't wait to see the other one too. I like the fabric you picked out. It looks so comfortable AND modest ;)
Hope we can catch each other soon. I've missed chatting this week!

Looks SO comfy! I used to have one similar to it that I loved to put on after a shower when I wasn't ready to dress or wasn't going anywhere before bedtime. The color looks great on you!
