Are You Ready?

So, are you ready to die? I have thought a lot about this over the past week as a young girl in our church suddenly stared death right in the eye. She is a sophomore in high school and started feeling sick on Wednesday of last week and before she knew it was being admitted at Duke and being put on the top of the liver transplant list. Her situation was grave and her life was seemingly close to an end. A miracle happened and a liver became available on Friday and she had the transplant early Saturday morning. She is now well and recovering- an amazing gift from God!

What if things hadn't turned out so well? What if she had died? She didn't have to worry because she knew that when she died she'd go to heaven to meet her Savior. She made a decision from a young age to accept Jesus as her Lord and from then on there was no fear of death. Can you say the same thing? Jesus says that He is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. He also said that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Trust in Him today and you will have eternal life. Our lives are fragile and could end in an instant. Don't take today for granted. Make sure your soul is taken care of.

I'd love to talk to anyone who has questions about this. It's my joy to share about Christ and what He has done in my life. I pray that others of us who know Him would be faithfully sharing about Him. Life is fragile. Live for Him.
