Lately...

Well, it's been awhile since I've written so I wanted to update you on what's been going on. We've been quite busy lately with several things. We've been working pretty hard to get our house ready to put on the market so we can be ready to get overseas when the time comes. I've purged practically our whole house and done a lot of tedious cleaning, like blinds and baseboards. It's been quite productive though and we're pleased with the results. Now we just have some smaller repairs to get done and then we need to do some painting. You'll notice in the pictures below that we have a red guest bedroom. Well, I love our red bedroom but I'm not sure a buyer will and in this market we feel like we need to do everything we can to make someone want our house. So, our big project will most likely be neutralizing the bedroom. I'm not looking forward to it and we haven't fully decided that's what we'll do but it's likely. You can see some before and after pictures of our work and two of my closets that I'm really proud of...

This week I worked at my church's VBS as the 2nd grade director. We had over 30 2nd graders in our two classes and it went really well. The best part is that the children clearly heard the gospel presented and had chances to pray about what they'd like to do. It was a great week and I'm so thankful for my teachers! They were awesome!

Let's see...we've also been to visit our friends who live in Central Asia but were visiting the States and returned this past Tuesday, we went and saw the movie "Up" which I highly recommend, I've started playing sand volleyball in Cary with some people I just met and I've started a Bible study for women in my neighborhood. We're going to meet throughout the summer and study Mark together. There were three of us this past Tuesday and we had a great time discussing the Word together. I'm excited to see what God will do through the study.
So, that's the skinny. Saturday we have our big back-to-school event at Raleigh Gardens so I'll get some pictures and let you know how it goes!

You're doing a really good job purging things from your house!! I'm impressed!! That was SO hard to do when we were putting our house on the market.

Thanks! It is a lot of work but hopefully it will be worth it in the end!
