What a wonderful weekend we just had! Really, I could not have asked for a better Mother's Day weekend. It started off with Drew trying to get Eliana to keep what they had done for me a secret. Total fail! It was hilarious seeing how quickly and thoroughly she told me everything. She even wanted to show me the exact card they had bought when we passed the card section at Kroger. Funny girl! It made me laugh so much!
Then Saturday Mo and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa came out to join us for the baby dedication service on Sunday. Eliana isn't much of a baby any more but we had not been able to do this and were excited to be able to take part of verbally affirming our desire for God to use Eliana for His will with our church family. It was even more special with all the grandparents here. We had a yummy dinner together and just had a fun time hanging out.
Then, after church and lunch with Mo and Papa we came home and had nap time and then went out on the boat with Josh and Bianca and the kids. We have been waiting to get back on the boat for more than three years and it was sooo awesome! Eliana did great too. I figured she would be afraid but she got on the tube with the kids and just enjoyed the fun. She was quite freaked out to be in the water, even with her life jacket, but other than that loved it. A girl after her mama's heart!
So, as you can tell, it was a wonderful, wonderful day! My first Mother's Day in America was such a blessing! I will certainly look back fondly on these memories for many years to come!
