Because Eliana is still really young I had no desire to put her in a Tajik or Russian preschool yet. However, because our babysitter quit working back in May, Eliana has not had nearly as much exposure to Tajik over the past few months and since we are coming to the US in January for our stateside time I've been thinking about how to get her more Tajik time before we leave.
Well, a couple of weeks ago our team leader's wife had the idea of starting a little playgroup at her house led by locals where our kids can come and hang out and work on their Tajik. Brilliant! Perfect! This is exactly what we needed for this time. I am so excited to see how things go. We are committed to twice a week for now with a third day being an option. She'll go and hang out for 3 hours in the morning and each day they will work on one concept and try to learn it in Tajik. Her little friends will be there and so will the children of our local friends. I think it will be great! A wonderful side effect of this is that now I have two free mornings again. Now I have to figure out how to best spend my time!
Today was our first day. Eliana was ready to go with her blue shirt and blue Cookie Monster for blue day! My little extrovert was pumped!

She's so cute in that outfit! I'm glad she loves it! Does she really like a skirt like that? I was thinking of making her a dress up skirt like that in tulle, but lining it in something not itchy. Love you guys and miss you!
