Yesterday we celebrated my birthday and I did feel special and loved! It was a great day! Drew made me a yummy breakfast of biscuits, eggs and bacon and then he and Eliana gave me their gifts, which Eliana was so excited about! Her excitement over my birthday was definitely the best part of the day. She was just so sweet! They gave me a cool coffee mug that has the local dress fabric painted on it and a new stylus for my Ipad, a pedicure and a massage. Told you I felt special!
Delicious breakfast!

Yes, between breakfast and this photo Eliana had an accident and we had to change her clothes!
After breakfast Drew took Eliana to playgroup and I went and got my pedicure and a hair cut. Then I walked down to our new grocery store and got some pizza from their little cafe. I wanted to get a cup of pudding for dessert but they didn't have plastic spoons and told me I had to eat it at home so I just got some M & M's. Oh, the differences of life here! After this I headed to the Hyatt and enjoyed an hour-long massage. It was soooo awesome! Also during all of this I was able to start reading a new book my friend Holly sent me for the Kindle. I had about six hours of alone time. It was such a treat!
After my "me" time I came home and waited for Eliana to wake up from her nap and then we ate cake. She was so excited to have cake and really pumped when she saw the candles. It was so cute!
One of my Tajik friends is a great cook so I asked Drew to get her to make me a cake. It was delicious, as always!
Yes, she made all those layers by hand and she used chocolate creme because she knows I like chocolate. Yummy!

After cake we took Eliana over to our friend's house and we went out for dinner. We had to get steak and grilled veggies- our splurge meal. The steaks were actually the best we've ever had here and they were actually pretty close to "medium" so we were excited!
I also enjoyed several phone calls with family and friends and got to open a fun package from my parents. It was a really wonderful day and I am thankful God has given me another year of life. Thanks everyone for making my day so special!
