Because living here can sometimes be a bit stressful and because I think every mom needs a little time for herself, I try to make a habit of going to one of my favorite places here on a regular basis.
We have a nice little cafe that serves real American food and has great a great breakfast menu. This winter I went every other Friday, often by myself, and had breakfast and just hung out and read and had some time to myself. It just helped keep me going and I (and Drew as well!) think that's important to be able to make it over the long haul here.
I also enjoy going with girlfriends and when they are in town, I always try to get together with them over breakfast. Coffee is even more fun with a friend! The cafe also has delicious desserts and we sometimes go for cake as well.

This morning Eliana managed to snag a free cookie from one of the waitresses. It's rough being so cute!

Dessert case...the cake on the top shelf, second from the right, is the opera cake...it is to die for!

You can see our new park from the restaurant. I'm so ready for it to open!
