So, Drew's birthday was last Monday and we had a great time celebrating. We actually ended up celebrating over a few days so he really got to enjoy a long birthday. I even ended up dividing the birthday into phases. It wasn't my plan, but it just ended up that way and was fun.
So, for the first phase...Drew accidentally found his big gift from me. It was a pretty funny story too so I didn't let it bother me. I was actually able to find a nice gift here for him and was so excited! That is usually not possible.

Toolbox for all those tools he brought two years ago and still hadn't found a place for!
Phase two was made possible because the box my parents sent with the items I asked for actually made it here in only 2.5 weeks! That was amazing! Sometimes it takes six weeks for things to get here so I was really pumped. It wasn't necessary, but made his birthday much more fun.
Sesame oil, Mr. Goodbar and real pepperoni- three of Drew's favorite things that we can't get here. He was so excited!
Phase 3 happened on Sunday afternoon. Drew and I went out for lunch and coffee while our friends watched Eliana. Our two favorite places were closed because it was Sunday so we had our favorite fast food, as per Drew's request- a spicy chicken sandwich from one of the chicken places here. Then we went to the Hyatt and got coffee. The coffee ended up not being that great but it was fun to go and relax there. It's so pretty!
Phase four was Sunday night where we had pepperoni pizza (so delicious!) and Drew's favorite dessert- raspberry, strawberry, peach cobbler. He doesn't even put ice cream on it he likes the cobbler so much. Our friends also stayed and ate with us and we played a new game afterwards so it turned out to be a lot of fun.
Drew woke up on Monday morning to phase five- full breakfast with biscuits, gravy, bacon (yummy, special treat!) and eggs and present time with Eliana.
Phase six consisted of hot fudge cake taken to work and shared with his co-workers (sorry, no pictures of that) and then the birthday fun concluded with phase seven, a little celebration with our team that night. We had Asian food and then cake and ice cream. It was a great way to end the birthday celebrations!
(That blue line is supposed to be an exclamation point. It ran while I was carrying it to the party!)
So yeah, we had lots of fun celebrating another year of Drew's life. We are so thankful for you Drew! You are the best husband and daddy these two girls could ask for! Happy Birthday!
