Yesterday Drew was able to help out with a co-worker's brother's wedding. Basically he was a driver and carted people around all over the city as they went from place to place. He said it was a good time and he learned some new cultural things. For instance, at this wedding when they were at the bride's house the guys in the neighborhood blocked off the street and you couldn't leave until they collected a certain amount of money. He wasn't sure who got the money but that's what they were doing!
Also, Drew ended up driving a bunch of women around in the car and he was shocked when one of them asked him if he wanted another wife. He's been asked that by men before but didn't think women would think that was okay. Our friend told him that lots of women aren't married and they are looking for nice men with money, even if they are already married. Very interesting!
Finally, this has nothing to do with culture, but the groom was wearing a wig because he is bald. We aren't sure why he felt the need to wear one but our friends were really surprised and thought it was pretty funny.
So yeah, another day of learning! Drew gave our camera to some other people to take pictures so enjoy a few shots of the day. He also took a video of some of the music if you want to hear.
