So, the babysitter was with Eliana on Friday and she took Eliana and her daughter outside to play. As she was telling me about their time I thought she told me that Eliana had a great time and was crawling in the grass and pulling it up and having fun. That was exciting to me because it was her first time outside in the grass. Way to go Eliana!
Well, I decided to take her out after her nap and see this excitement for myself. The first time I sat her down she started screaming! So, I picked her up and went to another spot hoping for better results. She did manage to sit down but seemed very unsure of herself and didn't really fully relax and only touched the grass enough to pick up my keys and phone to play with. Eventually she quickly crawled over to me and sat in my lap. So, I don't know if I totally misunderstood the conversation with the babysitter or if she was just more timid with me around but hopefully she'll get more used to the grass because until she starts walking this is how it will be!
I got a few pictures of her tolerating the grass...
