Food!

Eliana turned six months (that post to come later) on Wednesday.  After going to public health school and studying a lot about breastfeeding I knew I wanted to exclusively breastfeed for six months and even though at times I thought we might not make, we did!  I am so proud to have accomplished that!  So, on Wednesday we gave Eliana her first real food, sweet potato, and she did great!  It was a little emotional seeing her sit in the high chair with her bib and look like such a big girl but she was ready and so was I so it was good.  She's been eating more each day and seems to really like it.  A whole new world is opening up for us.  Fun times!

Here are some pics (not all from the first time) and a video (from the first time)...

very cute!!

And it's a big accomplishment to get to six months;)With our kids and food allergies 6 months is what everyone tells us is the best! So we've held out for that special month as well;)

I love her and the spoon;) Seems like when you wait until six months they act like they are actually ready for food;)

We give them a spoon to hold when we feed them and in no time they are scooping food for themselves;)
