Our baby girl is here! We are amazed and astounded at God's goodness to us and just so thankful for her safe and healthy arrival. She got here at 8:22pm (1:22pm EST) and weighs 6lbs 9oz and is 19 inches long. We are feeling good and everything went well.
Here are some pics. If you want delivery details then continue reading.
I woke up this morning around 4am feeling like I was having some cramping. I got up and laid on the couch and just relaxed. Those continued throughout the day and I wasn't sure if they were the real thing. So we just went about our normal business and waited to see what would happen. I did some laundry and even did a workout video. Then we walked to McDonald's and got dinner and while we were eating the contractions started getting worse, around 5:30. We started timing them and by 6:15 or so decided it was time to come to the hospital.
When we got outside the traffic was really bad so we just walked to the hospital instead of trying to get a taxi. It's only about 10 minutes so don't worry! When we got here I got checked in and found out that I was already 6cm dilated, which was very encouraging considering how painful the contractions were. We got into our labor and delivery room and the contractions kept getting worse and worse with major pain in my back. I asked for an epidural but it was too late. So, I just kept going. Within 30 minutes or so I was up to 8 cm and not long after that I was at 9 so the doctor broke my water and I started pushing soon afterwards. I probably pushed for 15 or 20 minutes and then she was here! It was crazy and hard and the most painful thing I've ever experienced but we made it. Drew was awesome and our friend who came to help us was awesome too. I couldn't have done it without them. Now we're just resting and feeding. So happy and thankful!

You know I want to talk to you sooo bad I can't stand it!! I'm REALLY glad you posted this up. (for ME, hehe.) How wonderful that the labor progressed quickly, just like mine do! It is the most painful thing EVER huh?? And, you did it!! Can't wait to talk about how feeding is going and just to exchange stories over the next few weeks (years!) as our babies grow up together. :) You know I would be there if I could, and I'm there in spirit! Love you so much.
I don't know if you even got my email about not worrying...
How awesome that it went so quickly! (Now you know what I was talking about when I had #2 without the epidural...) We are just thrilled for all 3 of you!!!
